Food grade peroxide contains 35% hydrogen peroxide, and the rest is water. It contains no additives and is rated safe for human consumption, but ONLY WHEN DILUTED. This was enough to make up my mind to use 35% hydrogen peroxide instead. Firstly, 35% peroxide is caustic and should be treated with the same caution as a strong acid. 35% strength hydrogen peroxide should be readily available at any quality hydroponics supply shop. This hydrogen peroxide dilution calculator will work for diluting any concentration of hydrogen peroxide. A lot of the charts you’ll find online are only for diluting 35% peroxide down to 3%.
