Both aeroponics and hydroponics give better results and yield than soil gardening and are suitable for indoor and urban spaces, but aeroponics gives bigger yields, healthier plants, has lower running costs and looks set for future developments, while hydroponics is easier to set up and manage and is suitable for most people and crops, both indoors and outdoors, while aeroponics is mainly suitable for indoor gardening.

Better aeration of the roots. Though plants being grown with a hydroponics system do sit in oxygenated water, they still cannot compete with the oxygen exposure enjoyed by the roots of aeroponic plants. Aeroponic plants are also often healthier, or at least less at risk for encountering disease.

This isn’t always the case, but in general, growers report better results in this avenue when growing aeroponically. The reason for this is the oxygenation of the root zone.
